Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation

Come and see us at the Win Clinic

With over 20 combined years of NHS, private and military experience, we welcome people with many different issues, from post-operative support to balance problems. Not to mention more commonly experienced joint aches and pains.

All ACPAT Chartered physiotherapists are trained and qualified as human physiotherapists first. For this reason, we have a treatment room dedicated to our two-legged friends.

We also have two physiotherapists trained in acupuncture. Whilst not always available through the NHS, we use acupuncture to effectively treat acute and chronic injuries.

How can physiotherapy help me?

Your physiotherapist will complete a thorough assessment to identify the exact source of your symptoms, this will then allow us to make a diagnosis and a treatment plan.

We aim to address all aspects of our clients' symptoms, often looking beyond the obvious to really help you understand what your body is telling you and what you can do to help.

You are at the centre of our care, our passion is your health and wellbeing.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No, you can just book in and come and see us. If we need the GP to do anything, for example, to make a referral or prescribe some medication, we will contact them.

Can I claim on my private health insurance?

In most cases yes you can, but please talk to us before booking so we can confirm this.

How many sessions will I need?

It is very difficult to know without assessing you.  Everybody is unique and people respond differently to treatment. We will discuss this with you after our first session.

You treat animals as well, will I come in to contact with any animals during my visit?

Our clinic is certainly unique in that we do indeed see humans, cats and dogs in clinic for physiotherapy. There is a dedicated human treatment room and no animals are allowed into that room at any time. However, the waiting room and the gym areas are used by animals. If you don’t want to meet any dogs or cats in the waiting room, please mention this at the time of booking and we can accommodate this.

How are you qualified to treat both humans and animals?

We have all completed a three year fulltime BSc Hons degree in physiotherapy.  This is our human qualification and is a protected title. In addition, we have all worked within the NHS and/or private practice for a number of years.  We have a combined total of more than 25 years of experience. We have then completed an MSc or PG Cert in Veterinary Physiotherapy. This enables us to work with animals as well.

How can acupuncture help?

Acupuncture is used to treat many different types of injury and pain and can be a very useful part of treatment. We practice a western approach to acupuncture and use it to treat musculoskeletal pain as opposed to anything systemic.

How can I book?

You can call us on 01823 426490 or you can book online here.
